Summit Roofing started the way a lot of good Melbourne businesses do — in a Bayswater garage with one ute, two ladders and a surname to live up to.
Founder Tony Callahan learnt the trade from his old man, who tiled roofs across the eastern suburbs through the '70s and '80s. When Tony registered Summit Roofing in 2009, the rule was simple: do the job like it's your own mum's roof, and never quote what you can't stand behind.
Seventeen years on, Tony's son Jake runs our restoration crews, and the same rule applies. We've grown to four crews and 3,500+ completed roofs, but we've stayed deliberately family-sized — big enough to handle a commercial re-sheet in Werribee, small enough that the bloke who quotes your job is on the roof when it's done.
No call centres. No subbies we haven't worked beside for years. Just honest roofing, done right, from Brunswick to Frankston.
